This song “The City” is about the various chapters in my life. The places I’ve been to and the places I can and cannot revisit. It’s about time and all the things that change over time.

It’s a rather thoughtful, melancholic one which kind of took me back to the roots of Painted On Silent Blue, reminding me of my first album “In The Blink of An Eye”.

I find hope in thinking that all the really good things, places and people, even the ones I cannot revisit, are reminding me of even greater things to come and that all the really sad, tragic and mournful things of this life won’t last forever.
